WELCOME TO THE FIELD MANUAL

The Meowlitia Field Manual is the central intelligence database of The Meowlitia Resistance—a surviving record of the war for Earth, the forces fighting it, and the world that emerged from the ashes of humanity.

Contained within these records are personnel dossiers, military branches, resistance strongholds, Wraith intelligence, equipment specifications, historical records, operational terminology, and accounts recovered from across the wastelands.

Some records remain incomplete.

Others were recovered from cities that no longer exist.

All personnel are reminded:

Information is survival. Know the world. Know the enemy. Hold the line.

01 // STATE OF THE WORLD

FROM HUMANITY'S ASHES

Day Zero was not simply an invasion. It was an extinction event.

Wraith vessels appeared above population centers across Earth and unleashed columns of brilliant energy upon the cities below. Humans caught within the beams were disintegrated almost instantly, their bodies reduced to radioactive dust that settled across streets, buildings, homes, and abandoned infrastructure.

Most of humanity died during the initial assault. Those who survived were hunted down and systematically exterminated by Wraith forces during the months that followed.

But the Wraith attack produced a consequence they could not have anticipated. Cats survived.

Exposure to the radioactive remains of humanity triggered an unprecedented mutation among feline populations. Intelligence accelerated. Bodies changed. Speech developed. Cats began standing upright, manipulating tools, operating abandoned human technology, and organizing themselves into increasingly sophisticated communities.

Many displayed behaviors strangely reminiscent of the humans who once loved and cared for them.

Humanity was gone. Its influence was not. From that inheritance emerged a new resistance. The Meowlitia.

02 // THE MEOWLITIA

EARTH HAS NOT SURRENDERED

The Meowlitia is a disciplined feline military resistance formed in the aftermath of humanity's extinction.

Under the command of Little Cat, scattered feline survivor groups were transformed into an organized fighting force capable of defending settlements, recovering infrastructure, gathering intelligence, and conducting sustained operations against Wraith occupation forces.

Its mission extends beyond survival.

The Meowlitia exists to protect civilian feline populations, reclaim strategic territory, preserve knowledge, restore functioning infrastructure, and ultimately eradicate Wraith influence from Earth.

Its members are bound by a shared doctrine:

The Ashfall Oath.

The world before Day Zero may be gone.

The fight for the world that comes after it is not.

03 // COMMAND & PERSONNEL

PRIME AUTHORITY

LITTLE CAT // IRON WHISKER

Rank: Supreme Commander
Authority: Prime Authority
Affiliation: The Meowlitia
Operational Status: ACTIVE
Threat Classification: EXTREME

Little Cat is the founder, Supreme Commander, and ideological anchor of The Meowlitia. Emerging during the chaotic months following Day Zero, Little Cat united scattered feline survivors beneath a formal chain of command and transformed isolated acts of resistance into an organized war against the Wraith.

To Meowlitia personnel, Little Cat represents command.

To surviving civilian feline populations, hope.

To the Wraith, an unresolved operational failure.

04 // MILITARY STRUCTURE

FIVE BRANCHES. ONE RESISTANCE.

The Meowlitia maintains a formal military structure designed to operate despite fragmented communications, destroyed infrastructure, and continuous Wraith occupation.

URBAN WARFARE COMMAND

Specialists in ruined-city combat, defensive operations, infrastructure recovery, and close-quarters warfare.

RECON & INTELLIGENCE DIVISION

Responsible for surveillance, infiltration, reconnaissance, intelligence collection, and Wraith threat analysis.

ANOMALY RESPONSE UNIT

Investigates unidentified technology, unexplained battlefield phenomena, biological anomalies, and threats outside conventional operational doctrine.

FIELD SUSTAINMENT CORPS

Maintains the resistance through logistics, engineering, medical support, transportation, salvage, and resource recovery.

SHOCK & BREACH DIVISION

Heavy assault forces deployed against fortified Wraith positions and during high-risk offensive operations.

Each branch operates independently when necessary but ultimately answers to Prime Authority Command.

05 // WRAITH INTELLIGENCE

KNOW THE ENEMY

Species Designation: WRAITH
Origin: UNKNOWN
Classification: Extraterrestrial Hostile Force
Threat Level: EXISTENTIAL
Operational Status: ACTIVE

The Wraith are the extraterrestrial species responsible for the destruction of human civilization.

Their technology remains significantly more advanced than anything developed on pre-collapse Earth. Energy weapons, atmospheric craft, autonomous systems, and recovered battlefield technologies continue to challenge Meowlitia intelligence teams.

Their ultimate objective remains unknown.

  • Occupation?

  • Resource extraction?

  • Extermination?

  • Something else?

Years into the conflict, the most fundamental question remains unanswered: Why Earth?

Until that question is answered, all Wraith activity must be considered part of a continuing extinction-level campaign.

06 // OPERATIONAL GEOGRAPHY

EARTH IS A BATTLEFIELD

The Wraith War transformed cities, highways, tunnels, industrial districts, mountains, and abandoned infrastructure into contested territory.

Some locations have become strategically essential to the resistance.

ST. JOHNS // PORTLAND, OREGON

A major Meowlitia stronghold centered around the surviving infrastructure of North Portland.

The St. Johns Bridge remains strategically important for movement across the Willamette River and has been the site of repeated Wraith operations.

SHANGHAI TUNNELS // OLD TOWN PORTLAND

The underground tunnel network beneath Old Town became an important early resistance site during the chaotic period following Day Zero.

Its concealed corridors provided shelter, supply storage, intelligence operations, and protected movement beneath occupied streets.

PIONEER COURTHOUSE SQUARE // PORTLAND, OREGON

Once known as Portland's living room.

Now documented as both contested urban terrain and an unofficial proving ground for Meowlitia skaters.

MT. HOOD // OREGON

A major geographic landmark associated with evacuation routes, anomalous activity, and multiple resistance operations.

07 // FIELD EQUIPMENT & TECHNOLOGY

SALVAGE. ADAPT. SURVIVE.

The Meowlitia does not possess the industrial infrastructure that once supplied human militaries. Everything has value.

Human weapons are repaired.

Vehicles are rebuilt.

Electronics are scavenged.

Wraith technology is studied.

A skateboard becomes transportation.

Meowlitia doctrine encourages the adaptation of available equipment to local operational conditions.

Standard equipment may include:

Whisker-Comms — Encrypted resistance communications equipment.

Salvaged Composite Armor — Protective equipment constructed from recovered military, industrial, and civilian materials.

Field-Modified Weapons — Pre-collapse firearms repaired and adapted for continued service.

Skate Mobility Platforms — Skateboards modified for rapid urban movement, reconnaissance, courier operations, and the continued preservation of skate culture.

Skating remains culturally significant throughout sections of The Meowlitia. What began as a human form of rebellion and self-expression survived the extinction of its creators.

In the ruins, it became something else. Transportation. Training. Morale. Resistance.

08 // THE WRAITH WAR

CURRENT CONFLICT STATUS: ACTIVE

The Wraith War did not begin as a war. Humanity never received that opportunity. The initial invasion destroyed civilization before conventional resistance could be organized.

The war began afterward. It began when something survived.

The Meowlitia's historical database divides the conflict into major periods beginning with Day Zero, followed by humanity's extermination, the feline mutation period, formation of early resistance cells, the Ashfall Oath, consolidation of Meowlitia command, and the continuing campaigns against Wraith occupation.

The complete chronology remains under reconstruction.
